‘World’s largest’ roller-coaster-themed restaurant opens in Abu Dhabi
ROGO’s ferries food to its customers at their tables in loops and twists along more than 30 roller coaster tracks. The joint opened in Abu Dhabi Nov. 21 2014 and the restaurant’s operator has other roller-coaster-themed locations around the world.
“Each table has its own individually designed roller coaster track and a unique silent delivery system that thrills diners as they get to watch their food make a gravity-defying 360-degree journey to their table,” Jessica Wadih al-Absi, the chairwoman and CEO of restaurant operator Group JWA, told Gulf Business.
More than 30 roller coaster tracks transport food and drinks, kept in closed pots to prevent spilling, around “multispiral, double loop and tornado tracks,” Wadih al-Absi said.
The 14,000-square-foot establishment in Yas Mall seats 378 people, making it the largest roller-coaster-themed restaurant, according to its creators, think tank HeinMack GmbH
