Rosefest returns to Roseville this June. What is Rosefest? You ask. It’s an opportunity to bring the residents of Roseville and surrounding areas together. It’s a festival to celebrate summer, Independence Day, and Roseville as a living and growing community. This year promises a lineup of great events for the whole family, so if you’re in Roseville from June 26 – 30, stop by for some food, festivities, and fun!

Thursday, June 26
Golden Rose Medallion Hunt

The festival kicks off with the first clue for the annual Golden Rose Medallion Hunt read at 7:25 p.m. on Thursday. Clues 2 through 5 will be announced at sponsor locations at 10:00 a.m. daily. The clues will also be released at noon daily on the Golden Rose Medallion Hunt website.

This year’s grand prize is a basket full of gift cards valued at over $500! If you find the medallion while wearing your registered Rosefest 2014 button, they’ll double your prize! There are additional prizes to be won with the new social media contests, enter daily and show us your strategy to find the medallion on Facebook and on Twitter (more information here.)

Taste of Roseville

The Rotary Club of Roseville hosts this event where diners ages 21 and older can sample and compare some of the finest food dishes and wines local area restaurants have to offer. 39 food, wine and beverage stations from approximately 35 area businesses will be located at the Central Park Arboretum and Rotary Woods at the Dale Street park entrance between County Roads C and B2 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Community Wellness Fair

6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Central Park @ Lexington Avenue
Local health and wellness providers come together to inform, encourage and support Roseville citizens to live healthy and well. Exhibitors include chiropractic services with free chair massages, along with free blood pressure checks.

Live @ The Rog – the Minnesota Sinfonia

7:30 p.m. Central Park Frank Rog Amphitheatre
Enjoy a lovely outdoor concert featuring classical and pops selections. Bring your own lawn chair, sit on one of the park benches, or lay out your blanket on the grass to listen to one of only three major professional orchestras in Minnesota.

 

Friday, June 27
Nine & Dine on a Dime

Tee times starting at 11:30 a.m. Cedarholm Golf Course
Play nine holes of golf, with on-course contests, plus a burger combo (dine), all for for only $10 (a “dime”)! Call (651) 633-TEES for more information.

Free Open Skating

6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Roseville Skating Center
Skating fun for the entire family . . . and it’s FREE!

Live @ The Rog – Fiddler on the Roof

7:00 p.m. Central Park Frank Rog Amphitheatre
Enjoy the antics of Tevye as he tries to maintain his family traditions while outside influences encroach on his family. The local production by the Roseville Calvary Baptist Church features aspiring actors of all ages who will sing and dance into your heart.

Bug & Buds Family Festival

6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Central Park Muriel Sahlin Arboretum
Information and entertainment stations for bug and planting lovers of all ages.
Check out the Family Fun Show with Tricia & the Toonies or visit the Buggin’ Out stations where you’ll find bug facts, bug fiction, and bug fun! Grow Baby Grow brings you growing tips from local experts and we’ll also have a bounce castle, puppet wagon, crafts, treats, and more!

Roll-In Movie – Frozen

7:30 p.m.  Guidant John Rose MN OVAL
Get comfy and enjoy the Disney blockbuster on the big outdoor video screen at the OVAL. Bring your own blankets or lawn chairs for a bug-free outdoor movie experience, free!

Saturday, June 28
Roll for the Roses

7:55 a.m. Roseville Skating Center
10K Inline Race through the streets of Roseville. Call Roseville Parks and Recreation for registration information, (651) 792-7007.

Race for the Roses

8:00 a.m. Roseville Skating Center
Start Rosefest weekend off with a 5K or 10K run at the 36th annual Roseville Run for the Roses. All participants receive a great t-shirt and all finishers receive a red rose. Half-mile Family Fun Run @ 9:15 am at the OVAL track.
Register for the Run for the Roses online at Active.com or in person on the day of the race. You may also register through www.runningroom.com.

Second Annual B-Dale Rib Fest

3:00 p.m. B-Dale Club, 2100 Dale Street N.
Local BBQ contest (judging @ 3 pm), tasty BBQ eating (serving begins at 4:30 pm), awesome BBQ fun! Cash prizes, trophies & more for BBQ masters and backyard enthusiasts. Register by June 17 by calling Mike, (651) 247-0622.

Great American Backyard Campout

Starting at 5:00 p.m. Harriet Alexander Nature Center
Family and group campout with activities for all ages: outdoor movie, campfire, s’mores and other campout fun, culminating with a continental breakfast on Sunday morning. Preregistration is required with a nominal fee. For more details please call Parks and Recreation, (651) 792-7006.

Rosefest Campfire

7:00 – 9:00 p.m. HANC campfire ring
Cowboy songs, campfire stories & s’mores! Bring a chair or blanket – children must be accompanied by an adult. It’s free!

Outback Rosefest Golf Tournament

Tee times 8:00 – 11:30 a.m. Cedarholm Golf Course
9-hole scramble-style golf tournament with on-course contests and prizes, plus great food by Outback Steakhouse. Gather up your team of four and hit the links!

Porsche Car Show

10:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. Central Park Dale Street Athletic Fields
Get up close-up to a classic Porsche car. Owners will be on hand and happy to answer your questions and talk cars. Hosted by Nord Stern Porsche Club. Contributions will be accepted for Courage Center.

Guns & Hoses Benefit Softball Game

4:00 p.m. Central Park @ Lexington Avenue
Roseville Police vs. Roseville Fire . . . who’s this year’s big hitter? Proceeds benefit the Eric Christensen Memorial Scholarship.

Touch-a-Truck

5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Central Park @ Lexington Avenue
Take your place in the driver’s seat and check out the big rigs. Don’t forget your camera!

Live @ The Rog – Teddy Bear Band

6:30-7:30 pm, Central Park Frank Rog Amphitheater
Put on your dancing shoes and grab your favorite stuffed toy, ‘cuz the Teddy Bear Band is coming to the Rog!

Monday, June 30
Rose Parade

The 24th annual Rose Parade is a Roseville celebration like no other! 90 parade units entertain thousands of curbside revelers along the one-mile route, with marching band performances, crazy clown antics, family fun and hometown pride. Parade route begins at Roseville Area High Schools (RAHS), heads east on County Road B-2 to Lexington Avenue, turns left and proceeds past Central Park for a grand finish at the Roseville Skating Center.
